From Here to There is a collective of artists currently living and working in Los Angeles. Their practices range from photography to collage and include video, sound, and installation. They are brought together by their desire to combine personal perspectives to create a greater dialogue through their artwork.  They work  as a group to hone their practices, and fuel each other’s art through discussions, critiques, and conversations.

This Saturday! Silverlakers everywhere participate in the "Hi, Noon" project, where everyone takes a photo at noon on saturday, and uploads it to a flickr pool.  Participants can also submit their photo for a group show at the end of the month.

Exposure Photography show at Mix, Meet and Mogul

I've always wondered what that mix, meet and mogul place has been about down near Sunset and Griffith Park Blovd (where the Silverlake farmers market is every Saturday). Here's a neat event that is going on tonight and every friday through March.

"Exposure finds band/music event photographers Koga, Benjamin Hoste and Simon Cardoza showcasing their best work every Friday for an entire month at Meet, Mix, Mogul in Griffith Park. Although there will be live performances from some of the fabulous bands they've shot, consider the event to be the photographers' equivalent of a residency.


Meet, Mix, Mogul is located at 1519 Griffith Park Boulevard. The weekly event begins this Friday, February 27th at 7:30 PM. It is free before 8:45 PM and $5 thereafter."
