"The Echo hosts an evening of Mardi Gras-themed revelry with four raucous local acts. Ozomatli's GRAMMY-winning Wil-Dog Abers steps it up with the lively, rhythmic Mentiritas, having poached session musicians from Beastie Boys, Cava, and Plastilina Mosh. Ollin, comprised of identical twins Randy and Scott Rodarte, fuse punk rock with Mexican folk, throwing in Fat Tuesday-inspired dance music to keep up with the theme. La Santa Cecilia hybridize various forms of world music for a classically Angeleno vibe, while the wild, 20-piece Killsonic cap things off with their eclectic and enjoyably demented marching-band tunes. - Tanja Laden"
